Information We Access

Metamint SEO only accesses the Shopify store information needed to provide SEO functionality.
The app may access:

  • Store domain and basic shop information
  • Product information needed to create or manage SEO metafields
  • Page and blog content information needed to create or manage SEO metafields
  • Shopify metafields created or used by Metamint SEO
  • Theme app extension settings needed to output SEO meta tags on the storefront

Metamint SEO does not collect or use customer personal data.
Metamint SEO does not access customer names, emails, addresses, phone numbers, order history, payment information, or checkout information.

How We Use Information

We use Shopify store information only to provide the app’s SEO features.
This includes:

  • Creating SEO metafield definitions
  • Pinning SEO metafields in Shopify Admin
  • Reading Metamint SEO metafield values
  • Outputting SEO meta tags through a Shopify theme app embed
  • Supporting SEO metadata for products, pages, blog posts, and the homepage
  • Maintaining app authentication and Shopify session data

Data Storage

Metamint SEO stores Shopify app session data required for authentication and app operation.
The app may store the shop domain and session information needed to keep the app connected to Shopify.
SEO content entered by merchants is stored in Shopify metafields inside the merchant’s Shopify store.

Customer Data

Metamint SEO does not collect, process, sell, or share customer personal data.
The app is designed for SEO metadata management and does not require access to customer records, orders, payments, or checkout data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell merchant data or customer data.
We do not share merchant data with third parties except when required to operate the app, comply with legal obligations, protect our rights, or provide support requested by the merchant.

Data Retention

Metamint SEO keeps app session data only as long as needed to operate the app.
When a merchant uninstalls Metamint SEO, the app receives Shopify’s uninstall webhook and removes app session data associated with the store.
SEO metafields stored in Shopify may remain in the merchant’s Shopify store after uninstall unless the merchant removes them from Shopify Admin.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by Metamint SEO.
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Merchant Rights

Merchants may contact us to request information about data associated with their store, request deletion of app session data, or ask privacy-related questions.
